START/FINISH VENUE & PARKING Race start/finish: Berkshire County Sports Club, Sonning Ln, Sonning, Reading RG4 6ST. Please approach via Sonning (Charvil Lane, Pound Lane, Pearson Road) to allow your fellow runners to cross the road shortly after the start. Parking at the start/finish: On-site free parking. Cars must be removed from site the same day - no overnight stay

REGISTRATION & BAGGAGE ​ Registration will be at the start/finish venue from 6:15-7:15am Entries on the day - we can take entries on the day​ Baggage Drop - please leave bags in your car, which will be a short walk away from the start line. For those not driving we will provide a space for you to leave a bag, however this is not secure therefore please do not leave valuables

START PROCEDURE There will be a staggered start between 07:00am –07:30am. Groups of runners will be started off at intervals. Times will be pre-allocated. You can choose your approximate start time when registering and your exact start time will be confirmed before race day.

ROUTE & TERRAIN The 50k is a 1-lap course which is fully signed with arrows as well as red and white tape. It is a varied, multi-terrain course around Reading, consisting of approximately 70% trail and 30% road. The course includes flat river & canal towpaths, undulating woodland trails, country lanes and cuts through Reading’s many urban green spaces. The terrain should be mainly firm underfoot, but can also be wet & slippery in places if we have a lot of rain beforehand. A RRUM 2024 GPX file will be sent to all participants and will be available to download from the website a week prior to the event.

CHECKPOINTS There are five checkpoints on the course. CP1 @ 9.2km CP2 @ 19.1km CP3 @ 26km CP4 @ 32.1km CP5 @ 42.3km Each checkpoint will enable you to refill your bottle with water, coca cola and/or Active Root. There will also be a selection of sweet and savoury items. It is mandatory to visit each checkpoint even if you don't require food or drink. You may also have your own preferred nutrition delivered ahead of your arrival to checkpoints 3, 4 & 5. Personal items can be dropped in the box at registration- this is a free service.

COURSE SIGNAGE Yellow signs with black arrows & red/white tape for the whole course. In addition, you will also see small orange RRUM stickers. You will be sent the RRUM 2024 GPX file for the route in the week before race day. There will be a google map version of the route made available, showing checkpoints and any public toilets along the route

CUT-OFF TIMES The cut-off time is 10hrs (from 07:00) and all runners are expected at the finish by 5pm. If you start at 7am, you will have 10 hours to complete the RRUM. If you start at 7:30am, you will have 9.5 hours to complete the RRUM. The earlier you begin, the more time you will have on the course. There will be cut-off times at each checkpoint/feedstation. If you fall behind this deadline you will be advised that you must retire. You are expected to be self-sufficient if you have to retire for any reason (apart from medical).

TOILETS ​ ​There will be toilets at the start, finish & Checkpoint 2 (19.1km) and Checkpoint 4 (32.1km). There will be various toilets at points along the course- please see the googlemaps for more details.
